"I like supporting "local" when I can. This place is way different than corporate chain-style lodging venues. It has character. Friendly hosts and a nice facility with a "vintage" feel - hey, after all it's part of their name! Although my room was on the small side, it had everything I needed and nothing I didn't - it was clean, nicely decorated in a rustic style that was just plain comfy. In an area like Okoboji, who spends a lot of time in a motel room anyway? It's centrally located to just about any place you'd want to visit in the lakes area. Bike rentals on-site and a bar and grill next door with outdoor seating and live music Friday and Saturday nights during the summer. No complaints here! First time there but I'd absolutely stay again. "

"This was a really nice place to stay. My questions were answered promptly and everything was stocked and avail for use including kierug and coffee and creamers. All utensils pots pans and bows avail along with bathroom supplies including shampoo conditioner and body wash. I packed all of this stuff and used it but didnt need to. I will remember for next time. The only downfall was 1 bathroom and we had 9 guests. I do give a 9.5 out of 10 stars :) also very close to beaches,stores and restaurants "
