All that was missing on our 7 day trip to Provence was the sunshine !
The cottage was perfect for us, being a party of 3, as it was just big enough to relax in after a day exploring the stunning Luberon, but not too small that you felt in each others way. In the pool was a switch to increase the flow, so you can swim against the resistance so the size doesn't matter as you can swim for hours and not go anywhere !
The pictures didn't do the property justice - it was so much nicer.
If you like traditional French-chique mixed with contemporary touches her and there - especially the modern colourful art on most of the walls - then, like us, you will fall in love
with this little jewel in the crown of Provence.
The kitchen was tiny, but who wants to be cooking 3 course meals when you have the most wonderful restaurants and bijoux cafes on your doorstep? It was certainly enough for cooking a traditional English breakfast and preparing light lunches and tapas.
Everything was immaculately clean, lovely quality bedlinen and all was perfectly presented like a 5 * Boutique Hotel and we immediately felt at home.
Benedicte, the owner was lovely and her suggestions for visiting certain areas and restaurants really did help us get it right first time, so we didn't waste any of our precious days.
Our very last day, the sun came out, so we spent the whole day in and around the pool in the fantastic walled garden - had a barbecue and a few of the lovely bottles of rose wine from Chateau Lacoste ( one of Benedicte's 5 star recommendations and a must to visit) - yes, we got a little sun burned - but it was a perfect way to end a great few days. We have only scraped the surface of this area, so we have to return next year for another adventure and we just couldn't stay anywhere else ...!
