"Avoid!!! Confusing check-in involved many, online documents and an off-site person who could not open the entrance gate remotely. Also, they did not know the difference between a key and a card needed for various applications. This modern and generic building is for short-term stays and run by a business, not a local. The small, rooftop terrace and common kitchens with vending machines were a bonus, and cleaning was thorough. The room with the detached bathroom had no air conditioning, even though that was advertised. The room is up 37 stairs on the 3rd floor, which was not advertised. The wifi never worked in the room, although I asked for 3 days for a resolution. The room is very dark inside at night, so hard to read. Terrible room! From the train station, google maps does not show you have to go up/down a hill of stairs, so it was hard with rolling and heavy luggage. Located in a residential area with no shops nearby, so it is isolated from the center by a 15 minute walk. Stay away from this mismanaged, corporate lodging! "

"Just a wonderfull spot , beautiful setting and views and great apartment with AC and ceiling fan. Hosts were wonderfull and the area is stunning and full of wonderfull places to visit and eat."

"This is a hidden gem. A car is essential as the hotel is in a very pretty but rural area with no other facilities. However the hotel is absolutely first class, the rooms are spacious, airy and well appointed. The hotel restaurant is brilliant with a great selection of local dishes and on Saturday and Sunday a quaint small bar at the front of the hotel where you can sit and watch the occasional cyclist or car go by. The owning family are so helpful and made us feel so welcome "

"This property looks great from outside but it needs a full renovation badly. It felt like walking into a hotel in the early 90s. Carpets in the rooms are worn out and faded. Staff don’t show a lot of enthusiasm for what they do. Housekeeping was the worst. Upon arrival I noticed duvets were not very clean. A lot of hair on and in the duvet. I had to ask for them to be replaced. The shampoo and body wash container in the bathroom was empty throughout my stay. I travel with my own so didn’t need it but was waiting for housekeeping to noticed. I even tipped the cleaner one day hoping they’ll do a bit extra but no improvements. Although rooms were cleaned daily, staff did not change used glasses throughout the room even if they had wine from the day before. The casino, coffee shop, and location is all this property has going for it. "

"We ended up here because we couldn’t find a hotel anywhere else, but it was awesome. Great price and very “European”. We stayed in a senior suite with a living room and bathroom. Gorizia is a beautiful, small, Italian college town. We had a delicious dinner just across the street and truly enjoyed the 16th century bar in our hotel where the bartender told us a lot about the hotel history. "
