Beautiful location

Weekend Escape Venue

The hotel is 30 minutes from city center with car. No access with public transportation. It stands next to a lake and have a very nice natural environment. The rooms are small and most of them not have view. The breakfast was perfect.

The public areas are lovely - the space in front of the mansion, the breakfast/restaurant room with amazing views over the lake. It has lots of history, and the lobby is typically Swedish in its effortless cool. The room was a little less impressive. For the cost it was basically two adjoining conference rooms with very little in the way of comfort, and a very small, disappointingly dated bathroom. The view from the window was pleasant enough, over the road, but the building was incredibly poor in terms of soundproofing. The crystal clear sound of the resident above in the midst of his extraordinarily long urinations was just one of the sounds we really didn't need to hear. Again, the public areas in these buildings (all conference spaces) were well-furnished and geared up to team-building, it would seem. I would imagine there are a lot of such events through the year, and in July, when most businesses in Sweden are not operating anywhere near capacity, the hotel has more 'regular' guests. It would be good if there was a little more effort made for these guests, given the lovely location of the mansion. It is what attracted us, but really, what we got was an hour of that for breakfast, and a 1980s/90s conference space for the rest of the time. There wasn't even an outside space in our 'block', although one block did have one. That would be a pleasant and easily made addition to each block - the rooms are pretty small, so anything extra would be a bonus.

Fina omgivningar men …

Jättefint ställe och fantastiska omgivningar. Rummen dock av sämre standard än förväntat. Middagen var god men förrättssoppan inte varm. Överlag kändes hotellet som ett hotell som renoverats på 80-talet och sen inte mer.

Lagom stora rum för mig och ett barn, men det var väldigt lyhört till den gemensamma delen och gästerna som vistades där visade inte någon hänsyn till övriga gäster. Det hade vart bra med personal som kollade till hur folk skötte sig..

Servicen från personalen var helt suverän! Så trevliga, tillmötesgående och lösningsorienterade. Det enda jag har och klaga på är tyvärr städningen, rummet var otroligt dammigt och i alla hörn samt under sängen var det fullt med stora dammtussar.. Där behövs en uppryckning. I övrigt var allt toppen!

Namnet utlovar mer förhoppningar än det verkligen ger. Egentligen en helt vanlig kursgård som ligger väldigt fint. Ingen herrgårdskänsla i de ordinära rummen i kursgårdspaviljongerna.
