I love getting nice hotels and my stay at the Avalon was the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Beautiful rooftop views the restaurant and bar is phenomenal great shopping and central location. And the room itself was beautifully designed. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit.

this was a great landing spot for my son and I visiting Gothenburg for a week. The shopping the food and the people watching were perfect. Now we’ll move to another part of the city.

Avalon Hotel

The hotel was lovely. Staff was very helpful and kind. Rooms were beautiful and comfortable. Located in an amazing area for an easy walk to shopping, restaurants, parks, and “tourist” type tours. Highly recommend the Ocean Bus tour. It’s a bus that’s a shark!

Highly recommend this hotel

Great hotel in a perfect location for central Gothenburg. Staff were friendly and helpful and the bar and restaurant were buzzing at the weekend which made it a fun place to relax with a drink after a day out. We had one of their basic rooms but it was still really spacious. A bonus is that the airport bus stops just across the road from the hotel too.

very nice design, comfortable beds and bathroom, location in the center! However it was hardly possible to sleep before 0130 due the the noice from the pubs and street. The sound insulated hotel doors was good but the windows towards the street was like paper. It needs to be fixed!

This is a great property, wonderful breakfast, helpful staff. The location super convenient to great shopping and restaurants. Also, there was a tram/bus stop just out front, so very easy to get anywhere in town from this central spot.

Fantastic stay - and would stay again without hesitation. The staff were the highlight - going over and above for every part of the stay. The breakfast was also outstanding - a fantastic selection, healthy, fresh and delicious. It's worth mentioning the bar was great and dinner was equally fantastic and one of the best meals we ate in Gothenburg. The hôtel itself is excellently located in the city for restaurants and shops, easy to travel from by bus or tram, and 30 seconds walk from the airport bus transfer. The room was a decent size, clean, quiet and ideal for a city break. The only downside was the duvet was too toasty and pillows too soft. A sauna would have complemented the swimming pool nicely. This aside, we would return again.

Rent och spännande med potential att förbättras

Rummet var väldigt rent, ljust och fräscht. Mycket väldoftande flytande kroppstvål, den kompakta till händerna hade inte behövts. Addera hellre en kräm. Korridorerna var lite väl mörka men doftade också gott. Spännande konst överallt. Nice med badrockar och stora handdukar! Städning ingick också. Takterrassen ej handikappvänlig då det ej var möjligt att ta sig upp med hiss. Även till poolen krävdes trappor. Lite omodernt att sakna tillgänglighetstänk! Poolen var överlag trevlig med häftig utsikt, men full med döda insekter redan på förmiddagen. Städas de inte bort dagligen? Restaurangen hade god mat (räksmörgås rekommenderas) och drinkar, men glassdesserten var inte prisvärd. Frukosten hade bra utbud och var även den välsmakande, men under värmeböljan var temperaturen outhärdlig inomhus och utomhus fanns begränsade skuggplatser. Hade varit bra med åtminstone någon fläkt därinne. I restaurangen kände man sig inte så sedd av personalen, även om de var trevliga. Lite långsamma på att komma fram och serva. Obekväma. Gelaterian i närheten rekommenderas varmt och trots livligt nattliv utanför stördes inte sömnen av oljud när man hade fönstren stängda. Kan tänka mig att återvända då läget var smidigt och atmosfären väldigt tilldragande. Det kändes också tryggt att lämna väskorna efter utcheckning då personalen hade dem inlåsta med namn och kvitto. Spårvagn och brett utbud av butiker och restauranger precis utanför. Trevligt att strosa runt. Tack för denna gång!
