"We had an absolutely wonderful 3 night stay at Nanook's Den! A perfect cabin and location for exploring the hiking trails of the Highlands and driving the scenic loop of the Cabot Trail. The house was very comfortable and had all the necessities, and more. We had made dinner reservations for several of our nights then decided to cook at home, to be able to enjoy the peaceful view from the back patio. Each room was tastefully decorated to embrace a touching connection to Alaska and the kitchen was perfectly stocked with everything you could need. It was quite warm while we were there so having air conditioning available was a real plus--as was having a full washer and dryer in the downstairs room (also great for storing bags). We walked to the Quarry from the house and hiked the Acadian and Skyline (especially nice in the late afternoon when it was less crowded) trails, and drove the full loop from Cheticamp around to Baddeck (with a fantastic lunch stop at Morrison's in North Cape) and back home one day. Another good lunch at Dancing Goat Cafe in Margaree Harbor and we picked up breakfast goodies each morning from Aucoin or Last Chance Sandwich Shop. The Highlands are a spectacular slice of heaven and we can't wait to return--and would definitely come back to Nanook's Den! P.S. We played golf at Cabot Cliffs at 4 pm the day before coming to Cheticamp--amazing course, views, and memorable sunset!"

"very clean, owner was on site and made sure we had everything we needed. instruction for check-in was vague but simple once we got there. beautiful view and property was very modern and well kept. The only complaint was the water had a strong sulfur smell so made showering not that great. Close to town so that made it nice to go out and have supper at "le Gabriel" which was amazing and a small beach at the end of the road made it nice to walk."

"Really enjoyed staying at the Archie & Isidore! Location was convenient for our needs. Room was really nice, well decorated and clean. Great communication from the owners and welcome drinks and snacks was a great surprise. We loved sitting on the deck and enjoyed the view of the water."

"This is a wonderful property! I love antiques and it has many beautiful antiques that are still useful. When we were there they had amazing musicians in the music barn. Everyone was friendly and helpful! I will be back!"

"What an incredible place!We arrived a little early, but Gus and Gert were there to greet us with a warm, friendly welcome. The house itself is spacious - perfect for our family of four - and absolutely spotless. There’s even a driving range with a one‑hole golf setup outside for practicing your swing. On top of all that, the location in the Margaree Valley is ideal for exploring beautiful beaches, the Cabot Trail, Cheticamp for whale excursions, and the Skyline Trail."
