From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the fabulous owners, Lauren and Greg, whose passion and care for this historic gem shine through in every thoughtful detail. The food was absolutely delicious—thoughtfully prepared, locally inspired, and served with genuine warmth. Special thanks to Connor and Esther, who were attentive, friendly, and made us feel like old friends. Their hospitality added so much to our experience. Evenings were especially magical—sipping cocktails at sunset on the terrace, followed by nightcaps in the cosy Whisky Room, made for the perfect end to each day. The location is also fantastic—peaceful and scenic, yet just a short stroll from the heart of Cartmel village, including the world-class Michelin-starred restaurants, L’Enclume and Rogan & Co. It truly is the best of all worlds. The serene ambience of the house, the incredible hospitality, and the charm of Cartmel made our stay unforgettable. We can’t wait to return! "

"We had a very warm welcome on arrival. The staff here were very friendly and helpful. Very dog friendly and it was great we could eat with our dog in the bar. The family room was very clean and good size. Not a great view of the fire escape but it didn’t matter for one night. In a great location in the seafront and easy to park outside on the road for free. "
