"We were met with a smile and easily made it to our room. The location was outstanding with easy availability parking. The hotel bar was outstanding and had quality drinks. The dinner at the restaurant was one of if not the best we had in Italy. The room and bathroom were very clean. And tea and coffee were available in the room. Breakfast was also provided and was delicious. When we left, we were even given a nice parting gift. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again. "

"Our stay at Masseria Straziuso - La Vaccariccia was an incredible surprise and success. Nestled in the countryside, the inn sits in the middle of a magnificent working farm. "This is a lovely boutique hotel that is newly renovated to take advantage of the unique caves in Matera. There is a beautiful view over the gorge. We spent 3 nights here and the lovely owner spent time with us each day curating a perfect itinerary for seeing Matera. There was free parking nearby. The room was spacious and comfortable, and breakfast was good. It’s about a 10 min walk into the main part of town, but it’s nice to be on the edge with the view and it’s super quiet. "
