"The property is well located to all major locations including restaurants, shopping, Edinburgh castle, Waverley train station, tram and bus lines, etc. Staff are helpful and the restaurant has awesome views of Edinburgh castle and the park across the street. Breakfast was delicious with a Buffett of a wide selection of items. My one wish is that coffee was better.
I highly recommend a stay there."

I believe the hotel is going through a refurbishment and it really does need it.
We were in a superior family room in a separate building across the car park/front of the hotel which doesn’t have a bar or restaurant. You have to order room service or walk back to the main building for food or drinks.
The room was quite small and dated. The air conditioning didn’t work which was addressed very quickly,...
