"I was confused by the reviews on this hotel as they swung from terrible to fantastic. I found the place perfect for my stay, while doing the coast to coast walk. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good, the bar was good, I didn’t require an evening meal. The room was clean as were the facilities. There is really nothing nearby, (by foot). The building is old and does need a lot of work, but this didn’t affect my stay. The room furniture was also a little ‘tired’, but my stay was comfortable."

"Lovely location and welcoming staff. Room was clean and comfortable with a great mountain view. The breakfast was excellent and served by an attentive and friendly team. Worth knowing that if travelling by car, it can be tricky to find parking when Keswick is busy although there is free on street parking nearby."
