"My friend and I spent one night at the Holiday Inn near the end of a two-week visit too France. Due to a mmix-up with Hotels.com, the reservation I had intended for June 9-11 was made for June 7-9, so when we arrived it appeared that we would be charged for nights that we had not stayed. Further, while we could stay for the night of June 9, the holiday Inn was fully booked for the night of June 10. The desk clerk quickly found us reservations at another hotel for the night of June 10 and the manager kindly did not charge us for the nights of Jun7-9. The room was large by French standards and it was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was one of the best offered while we were in different parts of France. I would gladly stay there again."

"Hotel Mercure Rouen Centre Cathedrale is in the center of all of it. Great hotel that is clean and comfortable. Easy to walk to everything. "

"It took me awhile to find the hotel entrance as the sign is the same color of gray as the stone entrance. And, my roller bag made quite a racket bouncing over the cobblestones. Inside the courtyard I found a peaceful terrace and views of half-timbered houses, a lovely entry for sipping coffee or a beer. I had one of the cheapest rooms and it was perfect for one. Very comfortable bed, windows that opened, and a spotless bathroom. While relatively small, it was private and quiet. I made use of the gym every day for yoga and enjoyed reading my book under the shadow of Flaubert’s statue in the evenings. I ate one breakfast on site and it was adequate. I just have different eating habits. Overall, an excellent value."

"Stayed here for 2 nights as an emergency place to stay as I had mechanical problems on my bike. The staff were absolutely superb. The receptionist was delightful and very helpful making recommendations on where to visit and how to travel on the excellent, cheap and frequent bus service into town. Car park was very large and felt secure too. There is a big retail park next door which was very handy too. The bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows and bedding superb. A good hot shower and large towels were very much appreciated. Rouen is a spectacular town and 2 days was really insufficient to appreciate everything it has to offer. Would I stay here again ? Most definitely YES !"

"Great hotel for stop over for one night. Not clost to much on foot. The restaurant was not open, but we got something nearby. The hotel was very quiet. Really NICE staff. Easy to park and cheap for the night. Must drive to city centre or walk 30 minutes, so not in a touristy area. But easy to get to, into park and away in the morning. "
