"The Schafli is a companion hotel to the Hotel Uzwil which is a good 4*.
Breakfast was at the Uzwil, a 10 minute walk but worth it as an above average breakfast in a lovely clean restaurant.
The bedroom at Schafli was clean, good sized shower room and functional. No staff on site and seems to cater over business overnight customers.
Very handy for the excellent rain service across Switzerland and cheaper than Zurich"
"Great stay here at this calm monastery. Lots of walking and hiking trails, great restaurant and breakfast. Had a great beer at the Brauerei that is very close. Shower was spacious and plenty of warm water. "

"Wonderful experience and a very friendly and helpful staff! Gave us good recommendations on food and stuff to do. The only con to this stay was pretty minor — The toilet and shower are separated by only a curtain and water from the shower easily splashes out. Everything else was lovely.
