I found a lot of peace in this elegant, beautiful 80’s style hotel where the rooms were still big and spacious. A lot of people rate the breakfast highly. It was quite nice but could have had more options. The staff could also be more attentive and polite. It’s the rooms and the view that were beautiful."

"The building is impressive with its great lobby (of perhaps faded art deco glamour) of another era. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is not modern and fancy, but clean and functional. Room was very comfortable. Kiel is spread out and the hotel is a bit far to walk with luggage, as I discovered, but a straight shot to train station and downtown. The terrace in front of lobby was a nice place to sit to enjoy the breezes and chill (it's Kiel!), at least until smokers claim it as their own. The breakfast area is very nice and the breakfast excellent: I highly recommend the breakfast, on its merits, but especially since there are few restaurants nearby."
