Our Host, Mient was very responsive to messaging; so accommodating; and very happy to assist us with planning activities and he gave great advice. Though we only spent one full day in Dokkum, it was a great day! We also visited so many other Friesian Towns from this home base. We participated in the Elfstedentocht, which was great fun. "Nice apartment, photos accurate and central location. Washer and dryer are not in the apartment and are also coin operated (located across from elevator same floor as apartment). It is two euros per use however the machines only take one euro coins (this resulted in two different trips to get correct change). "Nice overall. 3 bedroom and has all amenities. Was here long term for 2 months. Had a very pleasant stay. Would of liked a little more comfortable mattress for long term stay. Perfect for a vacation rental. Area is very nice and not to far from town. Would stay there again if i came back. Lots of owls in the evenings which was very cool. Every day they show up, so it was neat yo see."

"The owner of this property must use google translator as most of the messages he sent me made no sense. This then made it difficult to understand the check in process. Thank goodness the kind lady at the registration office clarified things for me. I understood that towels/tea towels would be included with the linens, but there was an extra fee for these items. Just a note for mobility challenged guests, the stairs are very steep and narrow."
