"We left the hotel the next morning. The only one elevator broke and we were on the 5th floor. My wife is handicap and this was the final straw that bre my tolerance. No staff spoke English, no cofee for breakfast, no silverware, food was awefall. Pictures looked great, the property is ran down, in a bad area. Ah,tge toilet stopped workung after one flash, no tv, a projection screen hard to see during the day and local chinese channels only. "

"We booked a room with extra space, so it’s quite spacious. Room is clean. Excellent location. The only setback is that their air conditioning is centralized. Sometimes we feel that the air con is not working and the room is abit stuffy. The portable fan does help abit. "

"Unbeatable location with incredible views. A quick taxi ride to West Street but lovely and tranquil away from the hubbub. A beautiful and interesting and very well designed property. The staff were all warm and friendly and welcoming. Excellent high quality breakfast in a beautiful setting. I definitely recommend this hotel as the place to stay in Yangshuo, especially if you prefer to share a space with like-minded independent travelers. "
