"Friendly and helpful staff but the place is a bit run down. There is a strong smell of cleaning products and the room on ground floor is very damp and moldy. I'd recommend looking in the never part of town; east of the train station "

"The host was wonderful and welcoming. So many helpful tips about what to see, where to go, what not to miss. Don’t forget to avail yourself of his unique pulley system for your luggage. A lot easier than lugging up several flights of a spiral staircase. The gentleman we interacted with (owner) is so proud of his city, his B&B, and his COFFEE! He’s an expert at all three. "Excellent having secure parking and couldn't fault Arcangelo's communication, instructions and friendliness. Delicious breakfast. My wife's only complaint as a light sleeper was the noise insulation- could hear upstair's water system filling up, chairs moving and conversations in the corridor as people waited for the lift."

"The biggest issue you may have with this B&B is trying to schedule your arrival, because you will need someone to let you in. (Second place is finding a way to move around Sicily which lets you arrive on time.) However, once you get there, you'll find a perfectly good place to sleep and recover from hiking around Trapani and Erice for hours on end. The room is clean, the bed is better than it has any right to be, and the bathroom beats out at least one supposed three-star hotel. Location is...

The suite was decorated in antiques and thoughtfully stocked with such things as personal bug spray, water, creamers/tea, etc. The "free parking" was on the public streets and square but the owner assisted us in making sure we were not in the wrong place at the wrong time. "Comfortable room with shared breakfast room. Walk to old town further than expected but was good exercise. Having to walk to a cafe to get a croissant for breakfast is not my idea of B&B. Enjoyable stay overall."

"The resort is beautiful, it’s secluded and private. The pool has a pretty view and there is bar service while you enjoy. The staff is incredible; we were there the night of the wildfire. We didn’t have our own car so The staff drove us down the mountain to safety. They are an excellent team and unbelievably accommodating and kind. "

"Nice hotel, the room was refurbished and in perfect condition. The breakfast is on the roof offering a beautiful morning view and the buffet was generous and good. The road can be a bit noisy on the morning but nothing dramatic. Very well located, we could access very nice beaches, San Vito, Erice etc very easily. Also, there is a very nice pizzeria and agriturismo walking distance from the hotel. Very good value for money. "

Das war der Hotelbeschreibung vorher nicht zu entnehmen. Und das "große Frühstück", von dem darin die Rede war, bestand aus einem Kaffee und einem Croissant. Beides war zudem nur mit einem täglich neu ausgegebenem Voucher in einer nahegelegenen Bar zu bekommen. Vielleicht bin ich ja zu anspruchsvoll, schließlich...
