"I’m honestly really disappointed with my stay at this hotel in Rio. The first room we were given was nothing like the photos online and was in really poor condition. It was dirty, had a strong moldy smell, and it genuinely felt like we were put in one of the worst rooms they had available. It was such a frustrating way to start our trip. To their credit, they did move us to another room after we complained, and I appreciate that they made the change. But it’s still hard to get past the feeling that we were initially placed in a room they knew was far below standard. No guest should have to ask just to be given a clean and acceptable room. Another frustrating issue was the housekeeping. Our toilet paper was not refilled unless we specifically asked for it, which is such a basic thing that should be handled automatically. It added to the feeling that the overall service and attention to the rooms was lacking. The only truly positive part of the stay was the breakfast, which was genuinely good every morning, and the busboys were incredibly kind and helpful each time we had breakfast. Even though they changed our room, I’m still left disappointed overall because the first impression and the lack of basic upkeep really affected our trip. "

The breakfast was simple, but quite tasty, with fresh options that were enough to start the day well. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I would consider staying here again."
