"Complicated self check-in with several security codes. No one on site to assist. Local phone number not helpful for international travelers. Worst is the smell of the rooms... musty, basement rooms... left window open, blew fan AC all night which made it slightly better. Would NOT recommend. "

"A wonderful place to stay, especially if you are going out on one of the Douro river cruises. Our accommodations were very nice and staff was friendly and accommodating. It was in a more residential area, so nothing was really close by, but it's just a short hop by bus to the city's main attractions"

"Wonderful hotel, true 5 star experience. The service and attention to detail was very appreciated. Spa was lovely, 20m pool, steam and sauna, often you have this to yourself if you go at the right time. Breakfast was very good with an order to table menu and fresh juices. Note however the privacy is limited in the room with the shower in the room and clear toilet door."
