Ashore Thing is a beautiful three-bedroom, four-bath home directly across the street from the beach! This property has deeded beach access 150' from this community and has convenient access by stoplight steps away! The home is located in The Cottages of Romeo II, a quiet community in the heart of Gulf Shores with a shared outdoor pool (not heated).

• Access to the balcony is from the living room and dining room

• Tile flooring is in the living areas, and carpet is in the bedrooms

•The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need in your home away from home, with granite countertops and unique cabinetry. The dining room has seating for six and four bar stools for additional seating.

• Full-size washer and dryer in the home, located on the first floor

• The living area has a sectional couch

• The primary bedroom has a king-size bed

• The second bedroom has two full-size beds

• The third bedroom has two full-size beds

• There are twin bunk beds in the upstairs alcove. *Children six years or younger should not be permitted on the top bunk.

• No waiting in long lines for check-in or check-out!

• A maximum of four cars are allowed to park under the home. No boats, watercraft, campers, or trailers are allowed.

• Absolutely NO SMOKING on the property!!!

$400 FREE Activities Daily-Guests will receive one complimentary admission to our select activities per day. You can go to every one of these activities every day, and one person will be free per day. Additional guests will pay full price. Admissions are non-cumulative and non-transferable. Unused admissions expire daily.

So yes, you may choose to go fishing in the morning (one person is free), then golf at lunch (one person is free), and then go to the zoo that afternoon (one person is free). Or you may choose to go to the zoo in the morning with the kids (one person is free), and your husband can play golf (one person is free) and then meet that afternoon to go on the dolphin cruise (one person is free.) You may do some or all of these select activities every day, and one of your parties is free every day.

These activities are yours to use if you choose to do so at no additional cost or obligation.

A Sure Thing

Great space. Clean and nice, as advertised and better than the photos. Perfect location, especially for those traveling with teenagers - close to beach and main/downtown area. Kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, etc. Bring plenty of toilet paper and paper towels, sponges, dish soap, etc.This is the second time renting a property from iTrip and they are very easy to work with and responsive. Will rent from them again.

We were very pleased with Ashore Thing. Location was excellent, close to everything in Gulf Shores. House was very clean and well furnished. We have stayed parts of nine winters in the Gulf Shores area and this was the nicest place.

The only thing I would change is all the beds. Every time you move all the beds squeak which makes for a long night when you sleep in the room with someone that moves a lot or at all. Pillows were on the flat side. Other than that everything was perfect! Everyone was responsive and easy to talk with. The walk to beach was not bad at all. The pool area was nice. I would most definitely stay here again.

Fantastic stay

Great stay! Initially I was nervous because I never rented a vacation rental. However, this property was great. The pictures didn’t do it justice. The home is beautiful. It was very clean and a short walk to the beach. The accommodations were great as I had three adults and eight kids. Management was responsive. I locked myself out after hours and she called me back within two minutes and walked me through opening the door. This will be my go to house in Gulf Shores.

The cottage was exactly as described, and the property management firm, iTripit, was excellent. We walked down a couple blocks for beach access, so perhaps clear directions to that would be useful. Plenty of dishes, flatware, all we needed for 8 of us. (I just now saw that there was supposed to be beach access.) Would definitely rent again.

Great Beach House!

We loved staying at Ashore Thing! The house is a beautiful, clean beach house! There was plenty of room for our family of 6 and it was awesome having 4 bathrooms! We did eat in and the kitchen was wonderfully stocked with every pot, pan, and cooking utensil one could need. We especially loved that it had a dishwasher and washer and dryer! Its location to the beach was perfect. It was a very short walk to the beach, less than 5 minutes if you made the light:). Communication was excellent! We would highly recommend staying here!

Perfect home for our family getaway

This home is even more beautiful in person! The wood accent walls in the main living area is a show stopper! The kitchen was stocked with all the cooking items we needed. The open floor plan downstairs worked great for family hang out time. But having the bedrooms upstairs was also great for kids napping and going to bed before the adults. The wall to the beach was so easy. We brought our wagon and it was an easy walk with a ton of beach gear. The home was extremely clean! It was walking distance to several restaurants too! We would definitely book again! This trip was sponsored by Vrbo but the remarks in this review are entirely my own.

Stay at Ashore Thing

Over all very good. One strange thing, the dish washer and garbage disposal can not both be plugged in to operate at the same time. The bottom plug is for the garbage disposal since it has the switch on it. When it is plugged in, the dish washer can not be plugged into the top one because it has a right angle plug and it interferes with the bottom one. Additionally, we left a hair dyer in one of the upstairs rooms. Can we get it back? Thanks

Ashore Thing was just that!!

Our family traveled to Ashore Thing for a baseball tournament as well as some beach fun! The house was very clean and exceeded our expectations. We had a couple of issues when we arrived (ceiling fan not working) they sent someone over w/n a day to fix the fan and a couple of other small issues we had. The service man was very nice and fixed everything in a hurry to not hold us up! The kitchen really does have everything you need while away from your own house…which was a bonus when traveling with kids! Rooms and bathrooms were large and provided us enough space to allow us to spread out. We have already said that we will stay there again in the near future!

Great House, short walk to the beach!

When we arrived at 4, the property still needed to be cleaned (we had made reservations like two days before) so I wasn’t upset. The manager was great and cleaning company was wonderful as soon as I let them know it wasn’t ready. They did everything including bringing more people over to get the place cleaned up faster. It was me, my husband, a ten year old, 16 year old, and 23 year old with her husband and three year old. There was plenty of space for everyone to relax and rejuvenate. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The bedrooms were simple and perfect for our needs, we really liked the mattresses. The walk to the beach was short and easy, around five minutes with waiting for the light to change at the crosswalk. We had a beach wagon that made it simple to take our beach gear back and forth. We found the discounts on activities to be helpful and so easy to book with the link. Definitely would stay at this property again!
