Welcome to Boardwalk 1085, your ideal vacation spot in Gulf Shores! This cozy 1-bedroom, 1.5-bath condo sleeps up to 4 guests and has charmingly been called “The Penthouse” in the past. It features the largest living room in the building and a stunning 20 feet of glass wall that offers breath-taking panoramic views of the ocean and beach.


Located on the tenth floor, this condo is perfect for couples or small families. The bedroom has a comfy king-sized bed and an en-suite full bathroom, making sure you have all the comforts you need. The open concept living area includes a dining table for four, extra barstool seating in the kitchen, and a sleeper sofa for additional guests. Plus, there's a large TV in the living space so you can kick back and enjoy your favorite shows. The fully equipped kitchen has plenty of space for cooking up your favorite meals. There is a washer and a dryer in the unit and an extra half-bathroom off the living room for added convenience.


The Boardwalk complex features an enormous pool deck that runs the entire length of the building, so you can relax or soak up the sun without feeling crowded, even during busy season. The pool is heated during cooler months, and just steps from the pool deck is the beautiful sugar-white beach. The complex offers two elevators for easy access and charcoal grills if you’re in the mood for outdoor dining. And don’t forget, the popular Sea-n-Suds restaurant is right in your backyard! Whether you want to kick back with your toes in the sand or explore all that Gulf Shores has to offer, this condo is a fantastic choice for your getaway.

Some inconveniences

Overall, it was ok.. I feeling if we’re having to pay cleaning fee, we shouldn’t have to supply garbage bags and toilet paper. Also we were without water completely for 4 hours one day but no discount was given back to me.

Fabulous stay

Checkin was so easy. The condo was spacious and clean. The security guards were very helpful and friendly. The pool was nice and easy access to the beach. Our daughter and her family stayed in a lower unit and it was nice to be in the same condo building. We really enjoyed our stay!

Poor shower design

We loved the location. Our only complaint is the shower in our unit. It was difficult getting in out of shower and there was no hold bars to help. Definitely not a good situation. One other thing is when we fixed breakfast there no turners to flip our eggs. We would probably stay again but only if the shower is better

Loved being right on the beach. Being on the top floor was a plus. Communication with the owner was lacking. The ceiling had a leak which was not fixed prior to our arrival. The owner did not tell us about this prior to our arrival.

One direction the beach was the busier public beaches and the other was much quieter due to minimal properties. Balcony had minimal settling/chairs and was small in depth, and the photos show that. Was pleasantly surprised by the size of the living space and by the perfectly heated pool. Mgmt company was very responsive and proactive.

Yucky weather inside and out!!

After a terrible rain and wind the ceiling of our living room started leaking and also saw a big cockroach run across couch where I just got up! Double red flags were up all three days we were there!! Didn’t even get to the beach to walk!!

We had no complications with the entire process of renting and using this condo and we had no problems that required a call to the management even though we were provided options for doing so. Our only concern was with the shower. You must go up 2 steps to get in the shower and there are no handrails. Anyone with mobility issues would find this dangerous.

DO NOT BOOK

Please just book another place. I recommend Topic Isles. This was dirty. It was not cleaned and only just picked up. From finger nails, boogers on the wall, hair behind headboard, USED band aids on the floor to finding a live roach. Contacted property before finding the roach immediately upon arrival to state the issues with the cleaning. They then sent a cleaning person. We know they came only because the bedding was changed. All of our issues were still the same. Make up was also stolen. THEN WE FIND A LIVE ROACH! IMMEDIATELY packed up and informed the company we would be leaving. At some point they just stopped responding to us. I was told to send an email about what happened and include any pictures we had. Didn’t hear annything back until 4 days later. All they anrw offering is to refund a cleaning fee!? WE LEFT! YOUR PLACE HAS ROACHES. Extremely disappointed. I’m disgusted my family and I even laid our heads on the pillows. Beyond upset about make up being taken as well. Shouldn’t have to cry on vacation. Terrible place.

Filthy Condo

First off let me say we have booked so many houses and condos through VRBO and have been very pleased. We arrived around 8:00 pm to this one and when we arrived the sinks were filthy coffee grounds still around the kitchen sink the bathrooms had dried spit in them, and around the tub were black hair and dust. Also black hair all over the walls. The sheets on the bed were dirty when we tried to pull the sheets off whatever they were using for the mattress, cover had, dried blood and all types of brown stains when we contacted management. The glass tables had fingerprints all over them.They said they could only drop off sheets and they didn’t arrive to our condo until 10 PM. They drop the sheets at the door and walked away didn’t even make her bed for us .We had to put the satin sheets I am assuming from their personal home that they brought on top of our comforter because we were not wanting to sleep on the nasty mattress when when I contacted management again the next morning they said the owner had not paid the cleaner to do a deep clean. This condo is disgusting after they sent someone out after 2 o’clock to clean our condo. We still had to go buy cleaning supplies to clean the tub again ourselves still had the same dust and hair around the top edges of the tub. No one has contacted me since we checked out. Very disappointed. There was no concern that we had given up a complete night and day not being able to use our condo because of it not being clean.
