Nice little hotel. We have a car so we don’t need to use public transportation, but everything seems closely located. The hotel had parking. If you are lucky, there will be a free parking next to the hotel. If you plan to use the hotel’s parking, get a small car. It’s tight

Very attentive staff. Comfortable rooms. Excellent location, close to the train station and the cathedral. Very good breakfast but pricey.

Such an underrated hotel! This was the cutest simple place we’ve stayed. Ascetically unique with the old style building and modern flare. Staff were so accommodating and make the best breakfast! Would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a quaint place to rest your head.

Clean room, air conditioning, helpful staff

AC did not work, and the room was extremely hot even with the door open making it hard to sleep. Other than that it was a nice stay.

The room is spacious and the hotel’s got a big parking garage. It takes us 15 -20 minutes to walk to the center. It’s good opportunity to get our steps in.

A wonderful location in the Black forest with the flair of the old Germany the old Black Forest the people working there were absolutely wonderful. It’s a very classy environment. Fantastic food, fantastic wine from barrels. They also have a sauna and a honor system in the seller so if you would like wine or any other beverage, you just take it put your name on it and pay at the end beautiful environment. Great quiet hotel with attached restaurant. Quiet neighborhood right opposite a bus stop. Great transportation to Freiburg. A very residential neighborhood so if you want to eat, it has to be there unless you drive. Breakfast is 10E extra but well worth it as it is an open buffet with cereals, bread, cold cuts, cheeses and eggs and hot dishes. There are also two bottles of water in the room daily. Ich war jetzt schon zum zweiten Mal hier und liebe es einfach. Das Personal ist super freundlich. Das Hotel liegt außerdem in der Nähe einer Bushaltestelle, von der aus man direkt in die Innenstadt kommt. 10/10 – absolut empfehlenswert!

Very clean, great location, friendly staff, felt very welcomed! My only recommendation would be for hotels.com to allow parking reservation through the app. The hotel has a limited number of parking spots and they cannot guarantee they will have parking available for all guests

Hotel Sonne was fantastic. The hotel itself is in the typical area style, beautiful woodwork and furnishings. Extremely clean. The location is very good. Directly in the town center and local attractions ie hiking, etc. within a few minutes drive. The staff made us feel at home. The restaurant is a top rated restaurant in Germany.

Such a welcoming breakfast area and delicious breakfast! We would’ve preferred traditional air conditioning, and a bit of a larger bathroom, but overall it was quite comfortable. Also, the bikes available were very nice. The staff were kind and helpful.

This is the perfect location for visiting the Black Forest right at the edge of the city of Frieburg (allowing no cars, in case you weren't aware). We stayed for two nights hiking in the area and visiting the Open Air Museum. Frieberg was charming for late afternoon/evening activities. The hotel is not fancy, but perfect for most as it is well maintained, guest oriented and extremely clean. Parking is available for 15e per night.
