There is native bush nearby, Haast is a part of UNESCO World Heritage Site. I have not seen a pool nor heard anyone talk about it. The room was tidy and quite clean. I found the man who helped us during check in and who works at the bar of the pub friendly and kind. Cleaning staff were using the vacuum cleaner before 8am, that was a bit early I found.

Clean room . Quite spacious .Great to park the car at the sliding door . Good selection of glasses , coffee mugs etc . Most of the walk to restaurant was covered . It would be good if you were covered for the whole way . Enjoyed our dinner . Great views .

The room was very clean and it was nice to park in front of our room and had a nice picnic table to sit at, the restaurant was nice and the food and staff were really good. It was only a 1 night stopover but we would definitely stay again.
