Our daughter was sick while we were here and the staff were so great and called a Doctor for us (who visited us in our room) and the hotel staff checked to see how our daughter was after and if she needed food from the buffet brought to her in our room.

10/10 Hospitality, very welcoming team, delicious food and superb room. A special shout out to our butler Wasant who kindly gave us a tour of the hotel's farm and butterfly garden, and chef Salih for the amazing food. The location is excellent for the cultural triangle. Highly recommend this hotel.

The White Lotus experience of a garden hotel

Cinnamon Lodge is a huge establishment, very grand with rooms set in lovely gardens by the lake. It has a huge pool and a buffet breakfast and dinner menu. The evening desserts are to die for.

Overall u enjoyed this hotel; it’s an experience. Food was varied although it didn’t really suit me. Wonderful rooms, reception a big stuck in their ways but helpful overall.

A lovely stay at here ..room was a little far away from pool and restaurant but quiet and peaceful by the lake . Fabulous buffet -lots of variety and good quality . Sri Lankan options always best !! Efficient friendly service

This property is outstanding. We stayed in the deluxe suite with our family of four for four nights in total. The kids loved every minute of our stay. The food, the staff, in particular our butler “Asanka” who was the most attentive, caring, polite and just all round wonderful person. Asanka made our stay so enjoyable and we thoroughly enjoyed getting to know him. The chefs were also so friendly and helpful and we also enjoyed our chats with them at each meal time, they also spoilt the kids with special meals, snacks and even gave them a tour of the kitchen and taught them a thing or two. We will be back! Thankyou once again Cinnamon Lodge.

Very friendly staff across the board. Great location to reach day trips to Sigiriya, Pollonaruwa, Anuradhapura, Dambulla, and safari/hiking, etc. and unwind/relax at the pool/spa. Lakefront is great for reading or for a morning jog. Rooms/facilities are new and well maintained. Staff goes over and beyond to make your stay comfortable.

Wonderful resort

This is truly an outstanding hotel in Sri Lanka. The resort spreads out along a large lake with view points in the trees with views that will take your breath away - one evening we could hear the elephants on the other side of the lake - wonderful The entire area is well laid out with brick pathways taking in every inch so walking along these well maintained routes is lovely after an evening meal. The restaurant is fabulous with at least 5 separate areas of food laid out for everyone to try. I would like to mention Thakshila who took amazing care of me and introduced me to various new taste sensations - some were “different” but most were delicious. The pool is huge and the staff were welcoming and attentive. All in all my stay at Cinnamon Lodge was outstanding. If you visit Habarana - there really is only one place to stay

Authentic Sri Lankan hotel set in a beautiful location by the lake. Rooms were very spacious and immaculate. Staff were friendly and helpful, asking if you needed anything at various points of our stay. Restaurant food was buffet style. Lots of choice, fresh and delicious. Ideal base for exploring the local area. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful

We loved our 3 night stay here .The hotel was everything we could have asked for - wonderful ,friendly staff(shout out to Champika and Dilshan and everyone else ),lovely accomodation and the food was exceptional.We came here straight from Colombo airport with our excellent driver ,Dushan Theekshana and while here we climbed Sigiryia Rock ,visited Dambulla caves ,enjoyed a wonderful local cultural show in Habarana and will take in Polonnaruwa on our way to Uga Bay .We could have done a safari but we are doing one later in our trip . So glad we came to Sri Lanka and equally glad we picked this hotel .

Good location but hotel is rather tired

This hotel is well located for important sites near Habarana. It has extensive grounds, a large pool and looks onto a lake. However, our "superior" room was very tired. Given the price, we were very disappointed. The hotel was full of tourist groups when we stayed. Breakfast and dinner were buffets. There was plenty of choice but some of the dishes were disappointing. There were quite a number of wild dogs in the grounds, chasing monkeys the day we left. The night before our departure we went to reception to settle our bill and waited while the final restaurant bill was added. But in the morning, they stopped us, saying they had forgotten items, which seemed disorganised. This delayed us. Overall, the hotel is rather old now and we felt we paid a lot for a very medicre experience. We stayed in much nicer hotels for less. It was also irritating that they add taxes and service of about a third to all the drink and snack prices quoted on the menu. We preferred other hotels which included them in the quoted price.

Staff at the reception and dining hall are exceptional, extremely courteous and professional. Especially, a staff at the dining Navodya Dilshani is extremely helpful. Great location, very close to Minneriya Safari. Has a nice jungle vibe, surrounded by monkeys and Toucans. The accommodation and food is decent. We booked four people, but the staff tried to claim that we only get 3 beds. It was quickly resolved and they added an extra bed to the room.

Our experience at Cinnamon Lodge was excellent. The staff in particular was very attentive as they always made sure we were well taken care of. Room facilities were great as well. Breakfast and dinner buffet spreads were amazing with tons of flavour made and our tastebuds happy.
