"This was a perfect stay if you have had prior visits to Kauai and visited other attractions located further away from Princeville. Very close to Hanalei and attractions on the North Side of the island or if you just want to chill out at the resort. However still plenty to discovered nearby. The facilities was great; clean and spacious for two person. No air conditioning in our unit but plenty of breeze. The unit's kitchenette was sufficiently stocked with quick coffee/tea, simple electrical equipments-microwave, hot plate, coffee maker, small fridge, cups and tableware but we mostly ate out anyways. Has a small lanai (balcony) frequented by the mynah birds. The surrounding area was very lush and well manicured and felt very safe. Book it! "

"This is a wonderful gem! I booked this late and didn't have many choices, but when I go to Kauai again, I won't want to stay anywhere else. This hotel is not fancy, but it's lovely, modern, and clean with all you need - responsive and friendly staff, pool, access to beach, lawn games, fire pits, a great restaurant and bar, and nightly live music. Close enough to walk to some shopping. The vibe at this hotel couldn't be better - I was with a friend, but it's terrific for families. The only small drawback is that the surf on the adjacent beach is very rough and very rocky, so if you're planning to spend a lot of time in the ocean, this is a consideration, especially for kids. Other than that, Kauai Shores Hotel is perfection in my mind. "

"The property is in a great location—close to grocery stores, restaurants, and just a short drive from several beautiful beaches. One of the best parts was being able to see the ocean and hear the waves right from the unit, without even stepping outside.Both bedrooms face the parking lot, so it would have been even better if at least one had an ocean view. That said, the unit is set back from the road, so it’s peaceful and quiet.The beach directly in front of the property isn’t one of the best, but there are much nicer beaches just a short drive away.We did notice some stains on the bedding when we arrived, but the host responded quickly and sent someone over with fresh sheets right away.Overall, we had a great time in Kauai and enjoyed our stay!"
