"We have enjoyed our stay at Northern Lights Inn, from arrival to departure they have been very helpful and accommodating. Fridrik, Ziggy, Linda and the driver who took us to the airport, a very special thanks. The time where we were at the round about asking for a taxi, Linda has picked us up to get to the hotel instead . On our departure the alarm went off for an eruption warning and they were so kind to give us a lift to the airport right away. They were so helpful with directions and links to transport as we did not get a car rental. We enjoyed a 15 minute walk back from the blue lagoo safely. The hotel is extremely clean and organized, well filled, beds and pillows were so comfy. They tidy up everyday as well. The breakfast was fantastic. "Hotel Duus worked well for us. We were only there for a short time – checking in very late at night, and leaving around 4:30 am. Luckily for us, the front desk person who checked us in asked if we would like to add breakfast, and that it started at 4 am. Perfect! It was a lovely breakfast layout, eaten in the adjacent cozy restaurant with windows toward the ocean. It was a good way to start our early day exploring on our brief layover. (We used a map download feature from our IPhone maps, to find the hotel on a dark rainy night, without international cell coverage.)"

"It was wonderful to stay across from the airport as we had an early morning flight. We had breakfast and walked over to the airport. Breakfast was included and they start serving early in the morning, so we had plenty of time to eat before going to the airport. We also rented a car from Blue Rent a Car and their facility to return the car is across the street. We dropped off our luggage at the hotel, then returned the car and walk back to our hotel. Eliminating the need to return the car in the morning before our flight."

"Lobby was lovely. Room was clean and well maintained. I love the no carpeting so it's not dusty. Little teapot in room was great. It has a restaurant which was nice if we needed it. Great airport hotel."

"This is not a comment about the Start Hostel but about Expedia which seems to have deteriorated dramatically as a service provider in recent month. I went to check in for my stay starting May 28th - 29th and the system booked a room for me for May 27th - 28th. When I attempted to contact Expedia on their Virtual Chat or to Cancel the reservation, the system gave an error and would not let me do the same. Start Hostel was EXCEPTIONAL in trying to help in every way possible. Get it together Expedia as there are so many competitors - there is little interest in poor systems and customer service in this day and age."
