"Beautiful set up- loved every aspect of the rental- would highly recommend. It is about an hour from the city. However, the neighborhood was awesome and you are near the water which was just beautiful. We also explored the south west area for a day. Saw so many interesting places! The sauna room was amazing- we had so much privacy that we were able to look out the big window and watch the snow fall in our birthday suits! There is a mother-in-law apartment attached to the structure and my husband used that shower while I was in the main house showering. The water pressure was the best we ever experienced and the water was as hot as you wanted. We did not use the hot tub because of time constraints but it seemed easy to fill and then clean for the next guests. Housekeeping gave us clean linens for the bed which we opted to change ourselves. There kitchen had basic supplies, like an air B&B which we were thankful for. The hot chocolate was delicious and appreciated! The recycling was easy. All in all, one of the better places we stayed in and we travel a lot. I would love to go back in the summer; must be beautiful!"

"We decided to stay at the Courtyard by the airport on our last night before leaving Iceland. This was the best decision. The hotel is very close to the airport and offers a shuttle service. Seeing how the drive from Reykjavik is at least 40 min (if not more) we are glad we stayed close by for a relaxing evening and less rush in the morning. The rooms are clean, spacious and service is excellent. There is not much within walking distance but it looks like the area is in the midst of additional development. They have a lovely bar area and 2 restaurants. Fantastic property, but on the more expensive side."

"The room was clean, comfortable and roomy. I loved having a TV at the end of our 10 day road trip in Iceland to help transition back to ordinary life. (Besides, we watched the FIFA soccer game between the USA and Australia). I was disappointed with the fact that there was no breakfast offered even though it says there is on the website and even shows tantalizing pictures of food. I felt that was very deceptive on their part. They need to update their website to be more honest."
