I arrived on Sunday, September 29. Neither my reservation with Expedia nor the hotel's site mentioned that the hotel front desk as well as the hotel is closed on Sunday. Luckily I received an email from the hotel a few days before my arrival that advised me of this and the fact that I had to access the key for my room at a lock box at the front door of the hotel using a code sent in the email and thus I was able to let myself into the hotel and my room. Beautiful lobby with lots of pleasant seating arrangements. Comfortable and large rooms. Excellent restaurant for breakfast/lunch/dinner. Nice massage. 4 minutes to train station. Next to grocery store and pharmacy. Next to beautiful parks and natural trails. I will go back.

I cannot recommend Schnatterhof enough, especially for anyone traveling solo! I was traveling through Austria alone and speak essentially no German, so staying somewhere rural was a little intimidating at first. The family here went completely above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and could enjoy my stay.
They helped me arrange a horseback riding experience nearby, which ended up being one of the absolute highlights of my entire trip to Austria. They even helped me figure out how to...
