A very nice upscale hotel next to Lake Ashi. The hotel is new and conveniently located for public transportation. Easy to get to the cable car, bus stop, and the famous pirate ship ferry accross the lake. We stayed for two nights and it was enjoyable and enough. The staff are very friendly. The hotel is spread over two interconnected buildings and we stayed in the middle one. The first, small building is for the common areas and the next long building is the guest rooms. The onsen is very nice, clean and equipped well. The restaurant is a buffet style, and sufficient. Hakone is not an area for tourists who are you used to all inclusives in sea side resorts. It is a wellness and nature area and you’re lucky to find a hotel providing this upper

The family room we had was perfect for the 5 of us ( 2 adults and 3 school age children). Very spacious. Loved the private hot tub. Loved the dinner buffet. And how can you not love the view. Highly recommend.

This was my first time staying in Hakone, and I’m so glad I chose this hotel. The location was perfect for me—convenient and within walking distance to the cable car and the lake cruise. The views were absolutely breathtaking, with the public and private onsen baths. An unforgettable experience.

This property is exceptional. The staff and service was amazing as well as the dinner and breakfast that was included with our stay. We enjoyed the hot baths immensely and only wished we would have been able to stay longer. Highly recommend.

This hotel is so wonderful and the staff are genuinely so helpful and lovely to interact with. The breakfast and the dinner were phenomenal and shouldn’t be missed. The private open air bath is a fantastic option for people with tattoos.

Beautiful scenery, super close- walking distance to ride a gondola to a major world renowned attraction (volcano). Super baby and kid friendly; we got a balcony room facing the lake which allowed us to open the screened door to get fresh air. The onsen was clean and in excellent condition; lots of quality amenities. Buffets were generous and quality as well. They had an unlimited sake, whiskey, wine, beer bar plus all the juices, soft drinks, tea and coffee you want. The coffee was meh; worse than Keurig, but the Japanese teas were very fine. There were so many food options it is a little overwhelming but I think it would be nice to have a guide to introduce people to how you would do a curated kaiseki meal by course; so folks can enjoy some of that experience.

Location was excellent Staff were excellent Hotel Food was very good.Shuttle bus made it easy to get to the hotel from the railway station. Unfortunately the room provided (421) was lacking any view other than the local gas station. (Neither lake or garden view)

It was surprising to live in this hotel.Food was really good. Dinner and breakfast are buffet and international food available all time. Staff speaks English, they are young and more experienced on their job. The hotel is closer to lake and Ropeway, only 2mins walking to station from Hotel shortcut pathway. The hotel has got million dollar views in the front entry and lake view rooms. I had really good two night staying with my partner. I definitely will be back with my friends.
