This was a uniquely and wonderful Japanese experience. The staff went above and beyond to look after us. The food and service was phenomenal. The location was amazing. Although this is little more expensive it was well worth it as this has been the highlight of our trip to Japan and we will remember ...

Prince Smart Inn Atami
Clean room. Most of the staff are nice and helpful especially Mr. Yamamoto. He is very nice and considerate. One of the day we stayed was raining heavily and our shoes got wet. He worried that we'd be cold and took the initiative to lend us an electric kettle to boil water.

Hakone Kowakien TEN-YU
Didn’t really feel like a spa hotel. Yes they have hot baths, but most people from the uk won’t want to go in naked. We used the bath on the balcony which was nice. Apparently there are massage chairs in the spa area.
