"The facility is very clean and has a relaxing atmosphere. The onsens were excellent and definitely a highlight of the stay. However, the kaiseki dinner was somewhat disappointing. The dishes lacked flavour, and many of them had a softer, mushy texture. The pacing of the meal could also be improved — there was about a 45-minute wait between courses, which felt quite long. In addition, there were occasional odours noticeable during food service that slightly detracted from the overall dining experience. The staff were courteous, but at times seemed less familiar with the details of the dishes, which made it difficult to fully appreciate the meal. Overall, while there were some positive aspects, the experience did not fully meet expectations for the price."

"Incredibly attentive staff and a beautiful location. It feels like a hidden gem, and like you were transported into another world. It was such a stark contrast from Tokyo and was a real breath of fresh air. The food was excellent, the room was incredibly comfortable, and the outdoor hot spring was just delightful. This is also one of the few ryokans that is tattoo friendly, which was a big place for us."

"Me and my husband stayed here and had the best experience. The room was very clean, and very nice. Location was great & bus stop was right outside.The onsen was amazing. Other than the room itself being amazing, the staff was extraordinary. They were very kind, polite, and attentive. Ryota prepared our dinner and he was so kind. The dinner & breakfast were both so tasty. We for sure will be coming back on our next trip to Japan!"

"We had a wonderful two-night stay at Hakone Yutowa. The location is excellent, just a few minutes’ walk from the Hakone-Gora station. The hotel offers a calm, pleasant atmosphere with beautiful greenery and trees throughout the grounds. While communication in English was occasionally a challenge, the staff remained incredibly friendly and professional. We thoroughly enjoyed both the public and private onsens. Our room was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped. The complimentary snacks and beverages were also a fantastic perk that added extra value to our stay, along with the restaurant onsite."

"This was our favourite stay for our whole Japan trip. We stayed at 3 other hotels. This place and area is unbeatable and i wish I would’ve booked a second night. I didn’t know that I would want to live this day again. The staff were ridiculously kind and helpful. At the end of our stay, I asked which bus and where I should take to get to Hakone-Yumi to and she literally left her post and started running to help me catch the bus. My son enjoyed free ice cream from the vending machine (which he loved). The band in the lobby before dinner was such a nice touch. The dinner and breakfast were perfect. Honestly, just the perfect relaxing spot for us. Would go back for sure. "

"Hotel was set against beautiful mountains with green lush landscape all around. The onsen was a wonderful treat at the beginning and end of each day. Rooms were traditional and clean with very nice bathroom toiletries. The food was amazing and delicious. Service was friendly and attentive. "

"We stayed at the Superior Twin Room with private bathroom. The view from that room was simply amazing. We really enjoyed making good use of the kitchen and common areas. The kitchen has utensils, coffee, tea and filtered hot and cold water. The common area also had a bunch of different books and games if you felt like having a relaxing day. The best part of this place is the Onsen. Also, there is a 7-11 within a 3 min walk. Overall, I highly recommend "

"Although needing a train to access this place massively exceeded our expectations. The apartment was enormous with the luxury of a private semi outdoor thermal bath & a sauna. For a family of 5 this was absolutely perfect, very glad we chose here & not the other older hotels in the area"
