"Room, bed, sheets & pillows amazing and tea, coffee, hairdryer essentials in place (accidental no toilet roll but sorted it). Road is noisy but would never mark it down for that, I knew before I arrived. Bar restaurant not open (again I knew before). Sadly that makes the place feel a bit lacking in atmosphere (& people). Seven Stars down the road, amazing food (check what nights kitchen open but always do pizza)"

"We stayed in Heron lodge, it was perfect for us, the facilities are like home from home and the position next to the lake is beautiful.My wife has mobility problems and did not find it a problem. We loved the place so much that we did not leave to visit anywhere for the week we were there just chilled, used the gorgeous hot tub and fished no need to travel if you want to rest."

"Pleasant upside down holiday home, with plenty of room, comfy furniture, fabulous views. Lots of peace & quiet. Local pub is a short walk - downhill there, uphill on the way home. Take a torch with you! The house does have emergency torches in most of the bedrooms, but not all working. No street lighting so star spotters are in luck. Hot tub a great addition (it’s why I booked the house) but unless there are two of you, it’s very difficult to get the lid off & on. The “welcome basket” of a cream tea was a very good choice of the owner. Owner, Sarah, was lovely in the communication we had, and I met her briefly on the morning of my departure.The information file containing maps and descriptions of local walks was very helpful. The house could do with some TLC - bannister loose, garden needs a good bit of pruning, but with the house being booked all the time getting those jobs done is tricky. If you want peace and quiet this is the spot for you."
