"This home in the center of Gloucester was the perfect accommodation for our weekend stay. It is a 5-10 minute walk to town, a 5 minute walk to the supermarket, and a 2 minute walk to a delightful local wine and cheese shop! The house was equipped with all we needed including a Nespresso machine and electric kettle. Having a parking space was a bonus. Would definitely stay again."

"This property, location and host all deserve high remarks. The house has a warm feel to it: it is a home — not just a rental property. The kitchen is modern and spacious for cooking and baking. We brought some of our own cookware, baking sheets, etc, since we did a lot of cooking and baking and we put the the kitchen and the outside grill and stow to good use! Loved them both. All around a great experience both in and around this lovely home — including enjoying the beautiful yard and views from upstairs bedrooms, and the short walk to the ocean-side park ( with a recently updated playground! ). I looked hard for a property with the “right feeling” and will for sure keep this in my saved list for future travel. The owner-host is super responsive and personable — this is so important and very different from locations managed by property management companies that make vacations feel like transactions. "The room was dated, but the rooms are being remodeled. It was clean, had easy access and had a beautiful view!"

"The furniture was comfortable and it is a pretty space but there were power tools left on the coffee table, a random pretzel on one of the bedroom doorways, and there were ants. There isn’t a dishwasher, so you’re relying on the cleanliness of the last guest to hand wash the dishes they used. Needless to say, dishes were grimy and needed to be rewashed before being used. The water pressure in the shower is really poor. The listing said there was one parking spot, but we couldn’t locate it and when I reached out to guest services, we were told it was street parking only. All the street parking in front of the property was taken so we had to drive up the hill and down another side street. On our last day we saw that there actually IS a parking spot reserved for the property right across the street. It would've been nice if guest services actually knew that. Not that it mattered, since someone was parked in it the whole time we were there. We were also furious about the train. It is right in the backyard of the house and it runs at all hours of the night. It shook the house as it rode by. The sound of the horn blaring and the flashing lights kept us up all night. There also seemed to be a security camera outside the house, which is fine, but it was not disclosed in the listing. I would not recommend this property."

"We spent 5 nights and it was a wonderful experience. Mid-April was the perfect time to explore this lovely area without the tourists. The home seemed very private with quiet porches to view the water. The house had everything we could need and we definitely felt pampered. We are a family of 3 so this house was perfect. It can sleep up to 4 but note, everyone is in the same upstairs bedroom. There is a King bed and a daybed with a trundle. My daughter loved it! It is easy to walk to the park or into town. The local seafood was delicious with plenty of dining options even during the off season. It was an easy drive to Boston, Cape Cod, and Salem for days of exploring. Gloucester also offers nice beaches to hunt for sea glass or large sandy beaches if walking is more your thing. I’m sure they are busy in the summer but this time of year they were quiet and peaceful which made visiting more fun for us. I will miss hearing the waves with my morning coffee and watching the fishermen leave with the sunrise. My hope is to visit again some day. We would highly recommend this rental!"
