The rooms are cozy and spotlessly clean and the breakfast is exceptional for range of choice and quality. The location is great, a minute's walk from Plymouth Hoe front and the sea. . "Our stay was amazing! Hosts Claire and Steve were fantastic, friendly, cooked a plentiful, scrumptious breakfast, and nothing was too much trouble! They had a wealth of local knowledge which was very handy. Our room was extremely clean, and our bed was very comfy! We were recently married and our hosts left a beautiful bottle of red wine and a card in our room which was so thoughtful:) we will definitely be staying at The Clifton on Paignton when in England next."

"We had a lovely stay at Arran lodge . Helga and Deneys were lovely and welcoming . The room had everything we needed and breakfast was lovely and lots to choose from. "Absolutely wonderful hotel. From check-in with Kyla to check out, everything was fab. Spotlessly clean in all areas. Had 2 Signature Suite rooms Aquamarine and Azzuro. Overlooking the pool area at front of hotel. Spacious and lovely. Breakfast was cooked to order from a menu in your room (pre order night before) and was stunning. Bar and pool area was lovely to sit and have a drink when returning from your day out and before going out in the evening. Can't describe how lovely this Hotel...

"We had a wonderful experience at this property. The location is perfect. We traveled via train and the station is literally right across the street. As for the hotel it has wonderful ocean views. It is the perfect starting point for a walk along the waterfront. I am a huge Agatha Christie fan so this was the perfect place to stay and start our experience. The hotel is very grand - like the name - but also very inviting and comfortable. All of the staff were wonderful. Highly recommend!"
