This is a motel with lipstick on. Sure, if you’re lucky you get a decent view of the water. But the rooms are dated, the walls are thin, and there is a musty, moldy smell that permeates almost anywhere you go.

Beautiful Lake Ontario view from our room. We were also given a lovely welcome gift for our dog, which was such a thoughtful touch. Our dog barked a few times, but the staff didn’t complain at all and were so understanding. The complimentary breakfast was also a nice bonus. Overall, a wonderful, pet-friendly stay!

The lake view was really nice and the room was clean and well-appointed with a remarkably comfortable bed. The front desk working the evening we checked in was fantastic. So why only 'good'? The was a lot of noise from the room above us. It wasn't the fault of those guests - they weren't having a party or anything like that. But the sound of every step they took and every flush of their toilet filled our room like it was being pumped in through a speaker. The sound deadening/isolation in the floor was just awful.

We really enjoyed our stay here. There is a lovely view of the lake and marina from the balcony. All rooms face the lake and away from the highway, so it was very peaceful. We also noticed we didnt hear any sounds from adjacent rooms so the walls are quite good. The bed was very comfortable and the room was well equipped. A great place to stay when visiting the nearby wineries.
