Watch freighters navigate Lake Huron from our private guest-only beach. You'll enjoy the quiet solitude with all the conveniences in a clean and comfortable, 3 bed room, lake front, Cape Cod, completely renovated from top to bottom. New furnace and air in 2021. A short walk up the street to Harbor Beach Marina, one of the world's largest man-made harbors (with 6 public boat launches and 114 boat slips ) and the Grice Maritime Museum at the end of our street. Start your day's adventure and exploration by waking up to breath taking sunrises.
We're just north of the charming lakefront town of Harbor Beach. Small town America, with plenty of options including water front park with sandy beach, hosting music on many Friday nights. There is also a fishing pier, Light House offering summer tours , museums, library, movie theater, farmers market, festivals and art fairs seasonally at Murphy's museum grounds, every Friday May 24 - Oct 11, from 2-6 PM. Harbor Beach Maritime festivals July 11-14. Just a short drive north to Port Hope and Grindstone City where you can take a private fishing charter.
A pedestrian bike/walking path just down the street from our home connects everything. There's a Kayak access point at Trescott street pier or you can launch from our private beach which is only a short paddle to the Light House and Marina. Guided tours of our 1885 Light house are available on Saturdays throughout the summer. Other options include a movie theater plus a short drive to other fun Lake Huron front towns such as Port Hope, Grindstone, Caseville , Port Austin. You'll have access to the entire space excluding the basement ( my storage area) , and grounds all the way to the water where there's a fire ring on the beach. You are welcome to safely use at your own risk. There's plenty of wood to collect on the property for use in the fire ring.
