RIVERKEEPER INN, Waterfront Property on the Potomac River

Cozy, quiet Potomac River location. Come and play on the river. Kayak, canoe, swim, water ski, tube, float, paddle board, or fish. The sleeping quarters is a newly renovated detached garage converted into 2 level guest house. The cottage sits behind the main house, it's about 75 feet from the waterfront lot. Located near Historic Harper's Ferry. This lovely guesthouse has wonderful views any season, any time of day. Enjoy an evening cocktail and watch the sun go down over the Blue Ridge Mountains then view the stars from your private waterfront deck. Have your morning coffee on the secluded back deck where you may spot a grazing deer. Laze on the hammock and picnic in the shaded back yard. Fish for smallmouth bass or enjoy a good book on your dock. Use the boat ramp to launch your boat or jet-ski. Go for a hike, bike ride, or horseback ride on the C&O Canal tow path located directly across the river. Relax in the natural water "spa" amongst the rocks. Shop in quaint nearby Shepherdstown where you'll find coffee shops and excellent dining. Watch thoroughbred horse racing or play the slots at Charlestown Races and Casino. Visit museums, explore history, or enjoy local festivals and farmers markets. Play volleyball or soccer on the large grassy field. Go whitewater rafting or enjoy the zipline nearby. Getting back to nature

My 2 grandsons & I had a wonderful visit at the Riverkeeper Inn. The Riverfront is beautiful & lots of nature to enjoy. They also liked riding around on the golf cart in the neighborhood checking out the deer & birds. Very peaceful. It was a nice getaway for them being from Texas.

An excellent experience at Riverkeeper Inn

Riverkeeper Inn is located in a peaceful and quiet area of Harpers Ferry, equally perfect in early mornings and late nights. The check-in and check-out process were very easy, and the property itself had everything we could've asked for, and then some.

In the river every day

We had a fabulous time here! This was a great location. Not only was it close to historic sites, downtown Harper’s Ferry, but we also thoroughly enjoyed the river (as did our dog!). While this is a back unit to the host's home, they were were hospitable, friendly, made an effort to give us privacy and allowed us full use of all the amenities. We were concerned about privacy, but had no issues and would absolutely recommend this place. It was also a great neighborhood for our dog to walk/run and make friends. We plan to come back!

The hosts are wonderful. I had a great time in their cozy, clean and beautiful place. Highly recommend for a visit to beautiful and historic WV.I particularly appreciated their fondness for dogs. Mine had a great time too!

Lakeview Property

Went to Harper’s Ferry for our 25th wedding anniversary and wanted to stay near the water since we usually stay in town. Found this property and it was perfect. Sits on property with owners who we met and their dog Chloe who was an absolute sweetheart. If you are looking for a piece of serenity you will find it at the Riverkeeper Inn. Very nice and quiet neighborhood. The property was tidy and clean and you get to use the gazebo or decks near the water to chill and if it wasn’t too chilly would have taken the kayaks out on the water. Highly recommend this property.

Beautiful property with access to so many amenities!

Beautiful location with easy access to the water. The owner allows you to use his dock for fishing, canoes and kayaks for water sports and you’re even able to drive his golf cart around the awesome community. We had so much to do there that we didn’t even have to leave the property. Definitely a five star experience and we would love to come back!

Beautiful relaxing stay

The property is beautiful and the hosts couldn’t be nicer. The fishing down at the dock was awesome very good large catfish. The property is well taken care of with numerous seating areas fire pits, places to see beautiful scenery and wildlife. The hosts dog is a sweet and adorable addition to the visit. My wife and I greatly enjoyed our stay and will be coming back again in the near future. If you need a nice relaxing place to stay you can do no better than Riverview. Also another note all the furniture and the bed were extremely comfortable. Towels were fresh smelling and we’re not some type of cheap hotel towel. You can tell the hosts put a lot of love and care and creating an excellent experience for everybody

Beautiful home on the Potomac River

The Riverkeeper cottage was quaint, clean, and perfect for our needs. We met the owner, Bill, right away and he was very welcoming to us and our dog. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had all that we needed. While there wasn't a stove/oven, but we didn't feel like we needed one. Plenty of good restaurants nearby. Good sized smart tv's in both the living room and bedroom. Cottage is located behind the owner's home in a very quiet, clean neighborhood immediately overlooking a peaceful section of the Potomac River. Immediately across the small street from the house is a gorgeous dock overlooking the river. We enjoyed our coffee in the screened in cabana on this deck every morning. While the owners met us as we arrived, they gave us our space during our whole visit. We took a walk through the neighborhood one evening and enjoyed the stroll along the Potomac, encountering deer and geese along the way. Very close to Antietam and Harper's Ferry national parks, hiking trails, and small historic towns.
