"Good central location in walking distance to places of interest. Pets welcome in bedrooms, bar & restaurant. Characterful building & bar area stunningly decorated. Excellent, beautifully presented food. Only down side was the small car park. Had to park in the multi storey a 10min walk away."

"Great location and excellent standard of room. Not very noise-proof from the bar across the road - it was loud until late and the early morning deliveries disturbed our sleep. The bathroom door didn't shut. Overall pleasant stay."

Check in was easy, with info forwarded the morning of, so we could just get in, get the keys, and be on with our day. "Hotel is fine although not as nice as I expected for the money. Parking can be a challenge. Location is really great for the city centre and the spa area is very nice, but gets busy. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice, but the restaurant for evening meal could have been better. "

"We arrived 2 hours early but were told our room was ready! On asking if there was a room we could upgrade to, we were given a Suite. Wow! it was fabulous and really changed our whole experience. The extra private sitting room was such a bonus and we made the most of it. Reception staff were welcoming and helpful and when we had drinks in the bar/lounge the barman was friendly and really efficient. We only booked one breakfast on the day we were checking out and, again, breakfast staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was plentiful with good choices whatever your requirements are. We've stayed here before and would definitely stay again."
