"Arrived late at our stay and then realised that we had in fact booked for the weekend after! Disaster after a 6 hour drive and very little options. We apologised and explained the error to our host. Amazingly and also luckily the host immediately went to work setting up an alternative glamping pod for us to stay in. The place was immaculate, hosts are extremely friendly and everything about the trip was perfect and as described. We will certainly be returning."

"We had an amazi by stay at the Shed. Took my 83 yr old mother and her 83 yr old best friend for the week and i can only say that the shed is so cosy, comfortable and peaceful. The owners have thought of everything. The information book is so helpful and informative. We will definitely be back. Karen Butler "

"Quiet location and pet friendliness worked for us. Lodge worn and some items grubby but didn’t bother us as we had dogs and walked a lot. Ground was very sodden. We know the area well and knew what to expect. We love it and explored lots of old haunts as well as visiting family. Being out of season the lodge was very good value and suited us very well. I would not recommend it for some wanting a busy area or somewhere posh. Friendly owner."

"Everything you need, bonus biscuits and half pint of milk on arrival very lovely. Slightly disappointed as had visions of morning tea at cast iron table (pictured) but unable to locate... bench out front nr bins, laundry, defib not same vibes but very lovely area, local pub great, nice walk down lanes, sadly chip shop was shut, store/post office beautiful with great selection of supplies. Local milk vending machine worth the walk. Took a trip to lundy, highly recommend. Other half not keen on lack of shower, didn't bother me. If you want more than pub and shop will need to drive.Housekeeper very kindly replaced broken bin day one. Overall a very lovely little cottage, well equipped."

"Absolutely fantastic staycation, literally home from home all you need to take is clothes and yourselves. Food you can get from local supermarkets about 25min drive in the direction of Bideford or Bude. Lodge is set with the most scenic background, you can see the mist first thing in the morning when cleared reveals the beautiful countryside. You get used to the single track roads that's what makes it a great holiday coming head to head with tractors etc. There is also a fresh milk vending machine which is about 8 mins drive.. Here you can get flavoured milk too. The vending machine is located just outside a private farm and you can see the cows in the distance very cute. In the week we stayed we had 4 bottles of milk and the day we left bought another two. Well worth the money. 💯% recommend you try the milk. The lodge has an electric fireplace which warms up really quickly and retains the heat making it very cosy. We recommend this lodge to those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of london."
