"Staff helpful and friendly. A bit of noise from over the fence but did not worry me. Two suggestions - not in any way complaints. A small hand rail for the shower to help the mobility- challenged over the step. A large knife supplied, sugggest a small peeling knife also. Would stay again. Thank you to the people at reception."

"The hotel is in the perfect position just down from the wharf. It has plenty of parking. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are a little old but absolutely clean, the beds are plush with plenty of pillows and doonas. The bathroom is well equipped and clean with a shower only. There was a bit of noise in the hallways at night so sound does carry, but not the hotel's fault. Would def recommend this hotel to others and stay here again if I was visiting the Bay of Islands. "

"Staff were very friendly and helpful. The price was great. My unit was a bit dated but everything worked. If you book "Flat 1" be aware there will be people running around upstairs. Didn't bother us much because we had two noisy toddlers anyway but if you want quiet, book a different room. I would definitely rebook at this holiday park in future despite the minor downfalls. The river view is beautiful and Paihia only 5 or 10 min away by car. "
