The property was very clean and served a great purpose for a cheap place to stay with friends for the weekend! Keep in mind it is a campground property so there is no bathrooms in the actual cabin! However, these are the nicest communal campground bathrooms I have ever encountered!

Room had a weird smell. It was clean, but there was insects, a spider and spider nets. AC worked well and hot water too. Campground is okay, but looks pretty beat up. Very few options of stores and restaurants around, keep that in mind. I would not stay here again and I would not go to Hatteras again.

Was a great place to stay!! The staff was very friendly and helpful with giving us information about things. Cabins were great. Even though cabins are close by one another when inside can’t hear anyone outside. Was amazing with all the wildlife as well. Really enjoyed staying there.

Kevin was great! We got there late but we still was able to find our place smoothly and it was very peaceful. Not a busy time, very clean. We loved the cottages. I paddled with my own paddle board. My kid had the whole pool to herself, and it was very clean. We will definitely be back. We got a Magnet that matched the cottage we stayed in. ♥️✌️⛱️

I have been coming to Hatteras Sands a couple of times a year for at least 5 years now; first in my RV, now in the cabins. Not sure I want to talk it up too much because it's my happy place in Hatteras and I don't want to make it so popular that I can't get in when I want to. The units, grounds, and bathhouse are kept clean, the staff is helpful and friendly, No real shopping nearby - restaurants, places to buy seafood, a small grocery that also sells beer, a bakery, some shops by the ferry - but that's not why I go there, anyhow. The other people there are generally respectful of quiet time; many of them fish while they are there, so they are out early in the morning and in bed early at night. I expect I will continue to stay there for as long as I am able to get there. A+++

Great place to stay. A few stackable chairs on porch would be nice and the mattress on the bunk are very uncomfortable. Great locations and extremely friendly staff. Love to stay again!
