  • 3 Little Birds is a spectacular, family-friendly home. A short walk from the beach, this home has equally-stunning views of a classic beach neighborhood and the ever-inviting Atlantic Ocean.

    When not on the beach, in the pool, or soaking in the hot tub, you can enjoy DirectTV on the 55-inch LCD HDTV in the vaulted family room. There are four additional TVs with DVD players in the two main bedrooms. This home has free WiFi and the kids will enjoy the pool table in the game room, the basketball hoop at the large concrete driveway, and the family-friendly games they can play on the lawn. The chef will appreciate the kitchen's countertops, appliances, and breakfast bar, not to mention the home's ocean-side dining. For the adventurer, there are crab traps under the home to try out at the sound right across the street. Enjoy coffee on the porch at the dining bar and savor the evening sunsets from the south-facing sundeck.

    Things to Know
    The private pool is open seasonally from 4/26/2025 and closes 10/12/2025. Dates are subject to change.
    The pool will open seasonally from 04/01/2026 and close 10/10/2026. Dates are subject to change.
    You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.

Close to the beach. Slightly dated, but but still nice and comfortable.

Awesome location

We loved the location of the beach and the walk to the beach was so convenient. House did not have as many amenities as we were used to with other houses we had rented in the past but we made it work. We would stay here again.

Close to beach

It was close to the beach and has a pool. That was good enough for us. Nine of stayed and we never felt crowded. The place needs some updates but it met our needs.

Nice place

Everything we needed and comfortable Ceiling fans need cleaning and pool leaked/sandy. Beds were comfortable. Picture in Vrbo is deceptive with house closer than shown

Awesome Beach House

3 Little Birds was the perfect place for a get away to relax, ponder, read, cook, lounge, explore, shop, beach play and so much more. The owners love sharing this piece of paradise and really make your stay warm, inviting and relaxing. I can't say enough about his beautiful beach home with spectacular views, plenty of space for everyone and so much more!

Perfect vacation home !

Loved the location , the house was very homey . I would definitely rent again . We moved from a house in avon and this was rented for the 2nd part of our trip. Wish I had rented this for the entire stay . The reality goes the extra way to ensure you have what you need for the first few days wich is really nice . Another fantastic vacation , can't wait to come back !

Wonderful home

There was no gas for the grill. The house has black mold growing in a closet and I where the washer and dryer are. Very bad mildew smell on the first and second level. My husband has a lung disease and was having problems with the Oder. Plus a friend with cancer was having problems also. I can send you pictures that I took

Great place for family vacation.

Short walk to the beach. Nice beach. Due to short staffing we had to make our own beds and there was no propane in the tank for the grill. We were fortunate enough to have been able to check in early which was very nice. Great pool. Everything worked and ran as it should.

Hatteras Family Weekend

We are from Hatteras, but moved inland 24 years ago….we came down for a family wedding weekend…the house was perfect for the kids and adults…close to the wedding cottage and reception venue….weather was perfect, pool cold but I understand it’s only May…Didn’t cook at all, with wedding events. But the kitchen was well supplied…only down side is no porch access to the pool, bathroom is a trip around to the other (road side) side of the house for entry ….

like always has a great time, house could have definitely been cleaner, floors were horrible. had to clean the hot tub real good, thank god im a plumber, fixed the hose bib beside the hot tub.. other than that everything was fine,

Family vacay

I love the beach so the house had everything we needed. Desperately needs some new fry pans, it did have a strange odor on the lower level. Only thing that didn't work was the small ice maker in the kitchen. Leaked terrible and almost busted my ass slipping in it.

Just right for us

Three Little Birds was just right for our family vacation. Sitting on the porch in the morning drinking coffee while looking at and listening to the ocean is the best way to start any day. You have a short walk to the ocean and sound from here, and if you go a little further - Ice Cream. Just down the road we went crabbing at the bridge and caught a meal. This is the first house with a pool we have rented and may never go back to pool less vacations. We sat in the covered area while the kids played almost daily.

Had all you could need. Very clean, and comfortable stay.

We enjoyed our week at Blue Heaven. We were there when it was a bit cold, and didn't use the pool or the decks. For our beach trips, fishing, and exploring it was a perfect base. Very close to great beach access, Shipwreck museum, and the free (!) ferry. The house was clean and had plenty of room for everyone. Chefs/Anglers, bring your own precision cutlery if you are accustomed to it. Would recommend the property. Shore Details handled two calls about the hot tub (it needed water and the outside water was off for season) and rents 4x4s to use on the beaches. I also recommend doing that to make the most of all that coastline. Great Vacation.

Beautiful home but very uncomfortable

Bimini Twist was perfectly located. The floor plan was great. The furniture was very uncomfortable. The sofa was near impossible to get up from without the help of another. The two bucket style chairs were incredibly loud and squeaky. My husband went as far as to buy some WD 40 and even that didn't help. The master king size bed was so uncomfortable. I have never had a more sleepless vacation. We went 2 days without wifi and satellite. the oven is out of sinc as well. It got extremely hot fast even at mid to low setting.

Family vacation

The location of the rental is great! The house needs to updated to even come close to the pictures you see when making your rental choice. The screen room no longer exists, hinges were left where a door used to be. The screen room was something we were looking forward to, bugs are bad once the sun goes down! Nails without the head are also a problem on the decks along with broken wood chair. The pool is in need of some tlc, when the sides were touched it left a white film on your hands, feet or legs and the filter skimmer didn’t even seem to pull much debris out of the pool as the return jets were not moving much water. The shower on the other side of the house was very inconvenient to use as was the grill!
