Hampton Inn White Plains/Tarrytown

"Check-In was pretty easy. I arrived very early and knew I would not be able to get in but the attendant was friendly and helpful. I was in the lobby when they called me to let me know the room was ready and he even came to the lobby to find me and let me know. There was also a restaurant and gas station in walking distance. It was a decent room for what I paid and the room was clean and in working order. A small detail but this along with other hotels should update their outlets around the room to include more usb. The bathroom was fine and the towels were decent. Also good counter space. (This is an issue in a lot of hotels) Before I state the big issue I had, I will preface it with the staff could not have known about this and hopefully the issue has been corrected. The hot water did not work in the shower or the sink. I tried it 3 different times, turning it on and off, different times of day, etc and let it run for 10 minutes and it stayed cold. In the sink, it got slightly warmer but not much. When I am getting ready to go to an event after flying half the day and I have to get into a cold shower, that does not feel very good. In the morning when I had to catch a flight, it was still only putting out cold water so I just gave up. Also there was no ice bucket in the room. The hotel was in a good location for the event I had to go to but I would be hesitant to stay here again even though all in all, it was not bad."

"Great hotel reasonably priced staff is friendly suites and studio rooms are perfect size desk and lounge area are perfect. Bathrooms are great if they would just swap out the tub for a shower it would be even better."

"Location location location! Perfectly situated along Broadway between Irvington and Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow. Also a lovely hotel, nice room, friendly staff, decent price. I thought the bed was excellent, breakfast was too expensive for what was available, but similar to other places so oh well. Not a deal breaker! Would definitely recommend and also would stay here again!"

"My room was large. It was clean and comfortable. The bed was nice and firm and I enjoyed a great nights sleep. The staff was friendly and greeted me when I arrived. Plenty of parking outside and, of course, it was free. I enjoyed my stay and I will return."
Tarrytown House Estate

"This stay was the perfect, spooky place for our stay! We had tickets to the Pumpkin Blaze event and saw that this was a local stay and we were so excited to be staying right up the street from Washington Irving’s home! Sleepy Hollow is also not that far and we had a peace of mind knowing that other parents with kids were staying on our floor. If you’re wanting a Stephen King’s The Shining vibe, this is the place for you. We absolutely LOVED it; my husband isn’t really a spooky seeking person, but he loved the vibe since we were entering the month of October and we wanted something Fall like. The estate has so many amenities and we greatly appreciated the $10 complimentary bucks for their front desk shop (we had ran out of milk). Pool was fun, outside games and seats was worth it and the restaurant was chef’s kiss. We’re even planning a couples weekend back to this place because we absolutely enjoyed our stay. Please keep in mind that this place is dated and has some dated carpet and beds, but the front desk workers will work with you on anything you need. Cairo was the nice, young man who checked us in and was super informative and helpful; he was even working the next morning to check us out; what a dedicated worker!"
