"Room was clean. Staff very helpful and friendly. Bar facility was lacking in drink selection for ladies. A cocktail menu would have been great. The decor is outdated, it would have been a fantastic place in its heyday. Dinner meals were a little average but the dessert was delicious. Overall we had a comfortable nights stay."

"The cottage was an authentic Yorkshire experience. It was quaint, clean and comfortable. In the middle of Hawes with easy access to public parking. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. May not suit people who have difficulty with stairs."

"I have visited over 170 countries. This castle is in my top two or three most wonderful places I have ever visited. The castle is amazing but the main reason i loved this place so much is because the staff were beyond perfect. They made our stay something I will never forget. The food and wine could not have been more amazing. The live piano played at dinner was priceless. I will fondly remember this place for the rest of my life."

"Lovely hotel. Beautiful setting with an amazing view. The reviews we read before we stayed, said the staff were wonderful and friendly. Reviews often say this about hotels and we were just expecting the usual professional staff. However it must be said the staff were superb, stood out and had a major positive impact on our stay making it so enjoyable. The evening dinner very good. The breakfasts excellent. Definitely a place to stay."
