It was convenient to where I needed to be, other than that I can't say anything else pleasant. The property is old and dated. You can tell that the owners do try to keep it nice. I was very disappointed about the fact it advertised a pool and they no longer have one.

Convenient location since the Rappahannock oyster area was booked due to Urbanna oyster festival and we were headed to VA Beach next day.

Never went into room. Saw four couples leaving. They stated cockroaches flies n bedbugs alive n dead througjout the room. Also there was no vacancy left. Thank God.

I do not recommend

The room was very musty smelling, it was old and outdated. The hair dryer in the room didn't work. The tub was very stained and old. The water pressure was good The pool they advertise was even in service. The chairs outside the place look like they came out of a dumpster. But the location of the hotelo was very good.

It was cheap and pet friendly

I was happy that they had a fridge and microwave. They let my dog stay for an extra 10.00 per night. I could smoke in the room. The bed was awful. The room was in terrible shape. I think it may have been clean, but it was so old and in such poor condition that it was hard to tell. Had to pay a toll every time we went to the motel. I would stay again if there were no other options in the price range.

I paid $100 per night, price is not worth it, nasty bathroon and carpet. I am not staying in this hotel again.

Hotel close to friends house in Gloucester

Ok this hotel was build in the 60's for sure. It's very outdated. The bed was old. The furniture was old and broken, the shower was nasty and moldy. The microwave was prehistoric. The mini frig just froze everything no matter the setting. The window ac unit only went to 4 for cold? No coffee maker no blow dryer, no closet, no ironing board, and the TV was old and limited. The towels were old and worn. On the pro side staff was very friendly and check in was simple. One key don't lose it! The carpet was new and some renovations had been done. The bathroom smelled like mold though due to improper plumbing my hubby is a plumber. The room was super quiet even though it's on the road. Check out was easy. I would not stay again though because I could get a super 8 for this price and be in the 21st century. Sorry guys.

proprietor was argumentative on registration... trying to insist we take a smoking room just because one of our party was a smoker... rooms were old, run down, and unclean - especially kitchenette (eg. exhaust fan on room wall) and bathroom were quite greasy and grimy. certainly no breakfast or even coffee available in the morning... and about a dozen old broken down a/c wall units stacked up on our "private veranda"

Honey, the price is right!!!

Not what you expect from a chain hotel, an old building but inside everything clean & in order. Plus quick, attentive service from pleasant, friendly family. Comfortable bed with crisp, clean sheets. A very good night's sleep possible due to how quiet. Efficient location - hop, skip & a jump to where I needed to be, on the main drag a mile from a very high-end super market. Honey, the price is right!!!
