Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park

"Place was nice and quiet. The view of the lake was blocked partially by trees, but you could still get good views if you walked down to the lake or were at the restaurant. The internet was good. Had no cell phone reception. Staff was nice and helpful. Rooms were clean. My only complaint beside cell phone reception is the "continental breakfast". The breakfast was literally only, coffee, juice, cereal, toast, packaged muffins, packaged waffles, packaged sausage biscuits. I was expecting a buffet. I'm guessing there was no buffet because it was after labor day, but it was disappointing because the restaurant wasn't even open for breakfast either and you are not close to any other food places."

"There's nowhere else we would rather stay!! The cabin was absolutely beautiful!! It was very clean and felt like home. The views are breath taking. My husband and I both said that we would not change a thing. With it being gated we both felt safe and comfortable being there. On a scale from 1 to 10 we rate Maco's Resort a 100!!"

"This property had everything we needed for our short stay. It was beautifully decorated and very comfortable in a nice neighborhood. There were plenty of restaurants within 10-15 minutes drive. We appreciated the extra touches like mini toothpaste and a fresh can of coffee."
Secluded with amazing view

"Matched the pictures to a tee. However the pictures don’t do this place justice. The home was beautiful and the views even better. Watching the sunrise and sunsets was amazing. Seeing all the wildlife was so cool. It felt really safe and secluded at the same time. There was room for everyone to spread out or be with others. The kitchen/living room was a nice room for us to visit and hang out in. The basement is amazing for if you had kids or needed to stay in on a rainy day. Would definitely stay there again."

"We had a wonderful stay! The property was very clean, comfortable, and in a great location, especially for anyone visiting the nearby off-road park. The host and owner were both extremely responsive and helpful whenever we had questions. Everything was just as described, and we really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay here again!"

"Our host was the best and visited us soon after we arrived! The cabin was spotless and the hot tub was also and it was enjoyed throughout our stay! I could easily live there! I cannot believe the breathtaking views at night and day! The deck is my favorite place in the morning enjoying my coffee. It is the place to stay to enjoy peace and quiet and just to get away from it all and feel like you are just a little closer to heaven! Maco’s Mountain Resort - my Happy place!"
