Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park

"Place was nice and quiet. The view of the lake was blocked partially by trees, but you could still get good views if you walked down to the lake or were at the restaurant. The internet was good. Had no cell phone reception. Staff was nice and helpful. Rooms were clean. My only complaint beside cell phone reception is the "continental breakfast". The breakfast was literally only, coffee, juice, cereal, toast, packaged muffins, packaged waffles, packaged sausage biscuits. I was expecting a buffet. I'm guessing there was no buffet because it was after labor day, but it was disappointing because the restaurant wasn't even open for breakfast either and you are not close to any other food places."

"We had a wonderful stay! The property was very clean, comfortable, and in a great location, especially for anyone visiting the nearby off-road park. The host and owner were both extremely responsive and helpful whenever we had questions. Everything was just as described, and we really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay here again!"

"What a unique experience getting to stay at this old country store. I admire the owner's desire to preserve a part of history. The property was exceptionally clean, well-supplied and I had a wonderful stay. If I need overnight accommodations in the area, I'll definitely try to stay here again."
