"Property was as advertised, no surprises within driving distance of Rose Bay (5km) where there is a lovely little Cafe and General Store. About a 30 minute drive to either Lunenburg or Bridgewater where there are larger grocery stores and many restaurants. View over Hirtle's Beach to the ocean from the deck is absolutely lovely and makes for a wonderful spot to savour a cup of your favorite beverage. Can definitely recommend if you are looking for a spot that is all about recharging one's...

"We had a fantastic stay at Frank & Val's place on Heckman's Island. The river is so peaceful to wake up to at sunrise with the sound of loons, and we were also greeted each dawn by deer quietly roaming around the cottages. There were lots of great movies for the kids to enjoy, and we really appreciated all of the complimentary, organic & unscented amenities provided in the kitchen, laundry and bathroom. Highly recommend this location for your stay in the Lunenburg area!"

"IF you want something private and beautiful this is the place. It is off the beaten path but well worth it. Getting to see deer every day was amazing. You can even roll down your window and talk to the them. It was exactly the peace we needed. The view is breathtaking."

"We had a wonderful time in this beautiful little cottage. Easy walking distance to quaint village. Very nicely decorated and everything was spotlessly clean. So quiet and peaceful. Washing machine and dryer are a bonus, especially if you’re on a longer trip as we were. Pam gave us some great tips. We would love to stay here again."
