A delightful cabin located looking down onto Alpine Helen, this two-story is ideal for an adventurous weekend getaway or family vacation. Above The Rest is an inviting place to sit back and rock on the porch or enjoy the relaxing hot tub, while also being close to Helen.

If you decide to head out to explore the area, you will find an unlimited amount of activities to choose from for any age. The cabin's location is within walking distance from Georgia's first Alpine Coaster where you can glide through the lush mountain forest as fast or as slow as you want to go. Let the kids mine for gold or take them mini-golfing with a sweet treat after. In the summertime, tub down the river or enjoy the Helen Waterpark. Beautiful Cabin

This was such beautiful and relaxing stay! Reading in the hot tub, watching movies in the cozy den, and walking to town for dinner made this such a restful trip.

Beautiful location close to everything. My only issue was the dip in the driveway i would definitely stay again just please bring that up so guests arent unexpectedly busting their bumper

Beautiful view. Steep driveway so not great for lower vehicles. We went for a girls trip and enjoyed our stay in this cabin! Would def book again!

Great cabin with a great view! Comfy beds, very clean, and a well-equipped kitchen.Town is a short walk, but driveway is VERY steep which makes the walk a little challenging.

Great location and view of town

We loved the location, the hot tub and the property. Our only con that prevented a 5 star rating was how steep the driveway is. It’s very hard to turn around and hard to walk up.

Great stay at a convenient location

The house was clean and had everything we needed. We had a full size truck so were able to manage the driveway on every day except when it rained we didn’t attempt leaving. We would stay there again

It was a good spot. A little awkward with no living room downstairs and zero tables upstairs in the actual family room. Overall, it was a nice place in a great location.

Nice Property with a built-in workout.

We chose Above The Rest based on the beautiful photos online and its unbeatable location—and it did not disappoint! Just a short walk from downtown Helen, the cabin offered the perfect mix of convenience and charm. The steep driveway added a bit of a workout, but we welcomed the exercise and the views it offered.Inside, the property was spotless, cozy, and well-stocked with plenty of linens, towels, and paper products—everything we needed for a comfortable stay. After a long day of hiking, the hot tub was an absolute treat and the perfect way to unwind.The property manager checked in a couple of times during our stay, which made us feel well taken care of. Everyone we met in Helen was warm and welcoming. We had such a great experience—we're already planning our return!

Nice cabin

Nice and quiet cabin nestled in the woods. Great location. Amenities are fine, wish they had a washer and dryer. I would recommend adding a pillow topper or buying a new mattress for the downstairs bedroom.

Small getaway

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this little cabin. It was peaceful and the view of Helen was beautiful, especially at night. The hot air balloon festival was a pleasant surprise! Make sure someone knows how to drive up a very steep incline to get up driveway.

Above The Rest

ATR is a very nice cabin that is well maintained and clean. While it is close to the strip in Helen, it was quiet and peaceful. Like many mountain cabins, the driveway is a little steep.

The folks at Cabin Rentals are beyond good. Ms. Allie was pleasant to talk to. The cabin was immaculate and beyond my expectations. If I am ever this way again, I will certainly rent from them.

Great porches and views. Steep is an understatement for the driveway. Could use a pancake turner type spatula. Perfect location for walking into Helen.

Beautiful stay, great location

We had a beautiful stay! Nice view of Helen, the mountains and trees. Jacuzzi is on the front porch and was very nice. I would just give a heads up to anyone with cars low to the ground - the driveway up is very steep and initially getting on it made my Rav-4s tires spin for a moment every time until it straightened out going up. Not sure if that could provide issues for a 2 wheel drive vehicle. Also, it's a steep walk up/down so anyone who can't walk steep hills should keep that in mind. Cabin was a perfect stay for us, we just walked downtown and back to avoid the Oktoberfest traffic!

First time in Helen

This is a great place to stay and we will return. Some reviews stated the drive was steep but we had no problem even in the rain. We rented a golf cart and it was very easy to go up the drive. When we return and have multiple vehicles we will leave them parted at the bottom and use a golf cart to bring everything to the cabin. It was very relaxing being in the hot tub and looking over the town. We will return with friends.

Very nice, clean home tucked up in the woods

We enjoyed being close to the town, but not in the hustle and noise of the town. View over the town was amazing. Driveway is a bit steep! We ended up walking up and down it because the girl’s car that we brought struggled a bit. Just kept our cardio up!! Had a great time!
