If you're looking for a comfortable, clean place to stay with your family, pay a little more to stay somewhere else. The smoke-free rooms smelled like smoke, there was some questionable substance in the air vent, some questionable stains on the curtains, the door looked like someone had beat on it from the inside trying to get out, the carpets were gross. We ended up checking out and staying someone else. Don't waste your money. You won't be happy unless you’re used to staying in below average motels.

We had Bed Bugs when we woke up from our overnight stay! It bit my boyfriend but we killed before it got back to its home. And not a few moments after that, there was a spider crawling on my bed! our whole morning was ruined. We stayed in room 108. We also figured why not go to breakfast since we got awoken earlier. They said they were serving warm hot breakfast. all they served was cereal, apples, yogurt, and waffles. We also checked a couple times just in case if they added more breakfast items but they didn’t. The breakfast on the website should be taken down if it’s not the breakfast that’s going to be served. regardless if it’s under new management or not. And if that breakfast is only for certain days it should be listed as well. If we come back to Helen we will never be staying here ever again. Make sure to check your beds before you sleep.

The location to the downtown area was perfect. The hotel itself was pretty clean. The bed was pretty beat up. the pool area was an eyesore (off season?) The staff was fantastic! Would I do it again, yes.
