"Cute little cabin in a very quiet, remote location. Well-equipped but very small (there’s barely enough space to walk around the beds) so I wouldn’t recommend it for more than four people. Guests are supposed to clean before leaving but clearly, not everyone does and the bathroom was filthy when we arrived. Bad surprise! "

"We have been guests at the Afternoon Cottages twice. We stayed in #4 the first time and #5 the second time. They are mirror images of each other. Everything was clean and the location is perfect for seeing the Aurora as long as the sky is clear. Communication with the property manager was easy and effortless and on our first stay we even extended it by a day. I highly recommend the Afternoon Cottages."

"We stayed five nights in April 2024. We were treated to the Northern Lights our first night. The house is spacious, clean and modern. The beds are very comfortable. It sleeps ten in beds. The area is super quiet. The hot tub is pristine. The host was great and had good documents. The trash/recycling system could be a little more well documented. We did the golden circle, two hot springs and the southern beaches (where we saw Puffins!) Great stay, thanks so much!"

"Upon arrival, we were impressed by the beautiful landscapes. The cabin itself was clean and modern. From the central space, one window offered a view of Icelandic horses. The other was nearly floor to ceiling where we caught sight of the Northern Lights. Renate was quick to respond and help us when we reached out. "Our stay at this charming cottage was an absolute delight! The well-designed space was not only aesthetically pleasing but also incredibly functional. You could comfortably stay for a long time. The cottage's location is amidst beautiful and tranquil surroundings, drinking coffee in the morning on the porch or by the windows was a special treat. "We really enjoyed our night at the cottage. It was very comfortable and bigger than some of the hotel rooms we have stayed in. The Wi-Fi in the cabin was fast, so we enjoyed watching Netflix in the evening after a long day exploring. The kitchen was well equipped if we wanted to make anything to eat or drink, but one thing to note is while there was coffee to make, there was no sugar/creamer (so make sure you grab some in Hella if you need it). "Everything was just perfect about our stay! Our host was very accessible prior to, during, and after our stay. She offered helpful tourism information from weather to sights to proper gear to bring for the season. The property itself was cozy while still offering a fun, spacious loft for my 10-year old to sleep in and a detached guesthouse (with a second toilet) for my teenagers who preferred more privacy. "Everything worked out perfectly, from the reservation, to directions, to the owner’s tips as to what to see and do nearby, and our three-night stay. The waterfall a walking distance from the cottage is wonderful. The cottage has a great, spacious design, and is well appointed—it had all the amenities we needed. "Wir waren für 4 Tage in dieser Unterkunft. 4Erwachsene und 1Kleinkind (13Monate). Es hat alles super geklappt.Bei Fragen gab es schnell die Antwort. Die Unterkunft an sich, ist an machen stellen etwas verlebt, aber das tut dem Wohlfühlfaktor keinen Abbruch. So war es zumindest bei uns. Da die Unterkunft schon etwas klein ist,war es mit 4 Erwachsenen und 1 Kind für die 4 Tage ok.. Direkt in der Nähe kann man Höhlen besichtigen...1min Fußweg. Alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden."
